The 2026 Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Conference (GAITC2026) was successfully held in Yuhang, Hangzhou from May 23 to 24. More than 200 experts, scholars, industry leaders and tech innovators from home and abroad gathered at the event. They conducted in-depth discussions on AI technological innovation, industrial integration and ecosystem development, to advance coordinated progress among academia, industry, research institutions and end users.
During the opening ceremony, officials and distinguished guests delivered speeches. They noted that artificial intelligence is now at a critical stage of systematic breakthroughs. Yuhang District of Hangzhou will keep optimizing the innovation ecosystem and scaling up policy support to drive high-quality development of the AI industry. The conference will further connect global academic and industrial communities, and help share China’s AI innovation experience across the country and around the world.
At the event, the National Industrial Intellectual Property Operation Center for Key AI Applications was officially inaugurated. A number of high-quality AI industrial cooperation projects signed preliminary agreements in a collective ceremony, injecting new momentum into local industrial planning. A series of supporting activities were also held, including the promotion of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, the release of the List of Core AI Capabilities, and the launch of a global innovation and entrepreneurship competition, offering guidance and impetus for the industry.
In the keynote sessions, ten top experts at home and abroad shared latest research findings and industrial application insights covering cutting-edge areas such as physical intelligence, smart manufacturing, temporal intelligence, agricultural AI and large model security. The conference also featured 17 thematic forums focusing on niche fields including embodied intelligence, brain-computer interaction, AI-enabled education and talent training, facilitating cross-industry exchanges and technological research.

大会期间，国家级人工智能（关键应用）产业知识产权运营中心正式揭牌，一批高质量AI产业合作项目完成集中意向签约，为区域产业布局注入新动能。现场同步开展吴文俊人工智能科学技术奖宣介、人工智能关键能力清单发布、全球创新创业大赛启动等活动，为行业发展提供方向指引与创新动力。
