Humanoid Robots Get Digital IDs! China’s First National Management Platform Launched with Full Traceability

On May 22, China’s first national full-lifecycle management and service platform for humanoid robots was officially launched in Beijing. Going forward, every humanoid robot rolling off production lines will be assigned a unique digital ID, enabling full traceability throughout its lifecycle from production, sales and operation to scrapping and recycling.
Developed under the leadership of the Standardization Technical Committee for Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the platform issues a unique code to each robot upon manufacture, serving as its identification number. Covering the entire industrial chain including R&D, production, market access, sales, operation, scrapping and recycling, the system ensures traceable origins, full-process control, risk prevention and accountable liabilities.
Dong Jian, Director of the Information Technology Research Center at China Electronics Standardization Institute, introduced that the platform adopts a four-segment coding structure. The combination of national code, enterprise code, product code and serial number guarantees global uniqueness, traceable operators, distinguishable product categories and identifiable individual devices for rigorous regulation. Meanwhile, it allows customized coding content and maintains compatibility with existing enterprise coding systems to accommodate flexible technical arrangements.
To date, the platform has onboarded over 100 humanoid robot enterprises nationwide. More than 200 product models and over 28,000 robots have been registered with lifecycle codes, helping foster an open, inclusive and win-win industrial ecosystem.

5月22日，全国首个人形机器人全生命周期管理服务平台在北京发布。今后每一台出厂的人形机器人，都将拥有独一无二的“数字身份证”，从生产、销售、使用到报废回收，全程可追溯。
该平台由工业和信息化部人形机器人与具身智能标准化技术委员会牵头搭建。每台机器人出厂时被赋予一个唯一编码，相当于机器人的“身份证号”，覆盖从研发生产、市场准入、销售使用到报废回收的全链条，实现“源头可溯、全程可控、风险可防、责任可究”。
中国电子技术标准化研究院信息技术研究中心主任 董建：确定四段式编码结构。一方面确保管理的刚性，国家码、企业码、产品码、序列码，保证全球唯一、主体可追溯、类型可区分、个体可追溯；另一方面给予技术的柔性，可自定义编码内容，充分考虑了对企业现有编码的兼容性。
截至目前，该平台已覆盖全国100余家人形机器人企业，完成200余个产品型号、2.8万余台机器人的全生命周期赋码，加快形成开放、包容、共赢的产业生态。
